The Answers You Need

HOW DO I PAY?

You can pay via just about any payment platform you can imagine including PayPal, Venmo, Cash, Square Pay, etc.  Or of course we also accept traditional payment methods like cash and check!

ARE YOU PET-FRIENDLY?

Absolutely! We love pets with fur, feathers and even scales. With that said, please exercise good judgement. If your pet gets anxious around strangers or you think your pet may leave a mess after the cleaning person completes the job, please make the appropriate arrangements for service to be performed. If there is ever a problem or question, we will give you a call.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

We understand that plans change.  However out of respect for our cleaning professionals, we request 24 hour notice of cancellation.  A charge of $50 will be applied to your account.

DO YOU OFFER GREEN CLEANING SUPPLIES?

Yes!  Upon request we can use green cleaning supplies free from harsh chemicals and perfumes.  Please provide 24 hrs advance notice.

WHAT AREAS OF THE CITY DO YOU COVER?

Unlike many cleaning companies, we perform cleanings all across Chicagoland from Beverly to Oak Park to Evanston (and we'll even go to other suburbs with advance notice!).   Our only request is that there is private, street or garage parking in the vicinity.  Please be aware that if garage or street parking is required and cost exceeds $4/hr, we may request client reimbursement for parking.  We do our best to secure parking but client assistance is sometimes required.

DO I NEED TO BE HOME DURING THE CLEANING?

No.  We understand our clients have busy schedules.  Please make sure to leave the key with a doorman or in a lock box and provide us with the code in advance.  For regular clients, we can provide a lock box if needed.

ARE YOU BONDED?

Absolutely!  Unlike many residential cleaning companies, we are bonded and our cleaning professionals undergo background checks prior to being hired.  Why is it important to be bonded and insured?  Because accidents happen every day.  If there is a slip and fall during a cleaning or an item of yours is damaged during a cleaning, with Five Star you don't have have to worry about incurring an expense.  We've got you covered!

SHOULD I TIP?

Tips are always greatly appreciated but never required.  Our cleaning professionals keep 100% of the tips you leave for them. If you choose to tip, standard percentages range from 10-20%
